What is it?
Thai yoga massage is a sacred dance, the connection between two people which is the medium towards the free flow of their energy. It is a therapeutic type of massage which originally appeared in India and was later developed in Thailand. In eastern countries it is used to awaken the spiritual flame and the inner healer we all have inside us.
The contribution of the beautiful art of Thai yoga massage does not have to do with the repetitive practice of a specific series of movements or with the conviction that it can cure someone’s disease. It has to do with learning to offer compassion and selfless love from your heart as well as gaining a deeper understanding of another person’s psyche. It is also the means to a deep connection with the chain of being, since we are all one. We are projections of the strengths and weaknesses of others, of joy and sadness, of happiness and unhappiness. We are all transmitters and receivers, we are one, learning along the way how to offer and to accept, how to touch, to breathe and to feel…
Whoever offers the sacred dance does not intend to cure the recipient but instead to help them realize that the power of self-healing lies within them. When the connection with the chain of being is established, the healing process comes naturally. We are the channels that communicate this connection, and so the dance simply begins… And the transmitter becomes a receiver and the receiver becomes a transmitter…
What do I need?
To receive a Thai yoga massage treatment, all you need is a little of your time and the willingness to let go and experience the sacred dance. To prepare for a Thai yoga massage treatment, ideally you should first take a shower, avoid using perfumes or moisturizers right before the treatment, and put on light comfortable clothes that cover the whole body, if possible.
